IPC Section 377 in India

Same sex marriage remains illegal in India. IPC Section 377 coveys the same. Indian’s consider same-sex relationships as illegitimate and prefer being very conservative, religious and traditional.

Section 377

LGBT communities (Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual-Transgender) are also humans and they should be treated with all due respect. They deserve each right as equal as any other human being. Homosexuality may be unnatural, unreal and unsocial but laws are made for the people, by the people. If there is a scope of improvement, it should be appreciated.

Sex between consenting adults is crime but marital sex isn’t? Law can’t dictate how and with whom to use the private parts. It can be of same sex, may be an opposite sex. Who cares, it can be a toy as well. There shouldn't be any law to impose ban and coin it as a crime. If we’re doing so, then it means we’re violating basic rights of an individual.

People need to think in a broader perspective. Homosexual rights are human rights. Nothing wrong in that. We are in 21st century and not living in Stone Age. Equality and Liberty is the need of the hour. Not Section 377!!

Globally, people started to accept homosex and herewith I’ll provide the list of major countries which accepted the same. The latest to join hands is England.
